Exploring Computer Science is excited to offer our week-long summer professional development program this year via Zoom, Monday, July 29–Friday, August 2, 2024. At this year’s summer PD we will be launching ECS v. 10 with a justice-oriented approach, including lessons involving AI/ML tools and their impact on people, communities, and societies. Teachers will receive a stipend for their participation.
This PD is for teachers who will be new to teaching ECS in Fall 2024.

Eligibility
In order to be eligible for ECS PD, teachers must commit to teaching ECS as a full course at the high school level in 2024-25. In addition, new teachers must commit to participating in the full ECS PD experience—5 days in summer 2024, 4 quarterly ECS online PD sessions through the school year, and 5 additional days in summer 2025.
In order to confirm your registration, you must submit a signed letter of commitment from your principal within a week of your notification of acceptance. We will provide a template for you to use for your principal letter when we send the notification of acceptance.
The application will be due May 15, 2024.
